QuantCube Technology uses artificial intelligence and big data analytics to deliver real-time macro-economic insights since 2013.
The firm operates one of the largest alternative data lakes in the world, processing more than 14 billion data end points. Sources encompass news, social media, satellite data, professional networks and consumer reviews, as well as shipping and flight traffic.
QuantCube’s macroeconomic indicators, which include economic growth, inflation, employment and international trade, correlate highly with official data and significantly beat the consensus. Financial institutions using QuantCube data benefit from real-time insight, often ahead of official numbers, which they can use to inform their investment strategies.
Headquartered in Paris, QuantCube employs a diverse international team with expertise in multilingual NLP, deep learning and machine learning techniques. The company’s shareholders include Moody’s and Caisse des Dépôts.
Les Missions
Quantcube Technology leads many innovative R&D projects in fields as varied as Artificial Intelligence for image analysis, automatic language processing, financial markets. We are looking for technical profiles with a strong interest in OOP Python programming and CICD development, with curious interest on Machine Learning.
The assignments you will be working on include:
• Deploy applications (scrapper at first) with cutting edge technologies:• Contenerize your application with Docker• Work in close collaboration with Quantcube Data-scientists to design Macro model and Investment strategies based on Natural Language Processing Algorithms
• Implement CI pipelines with our tools (Bitbucket, CircleCI incoming)
• Implement CD pipelines to deploy on our infrastructure
• Create your own infrastructure on AWS with Terraform
• Test and monitor your application
• Interests: Develop and deploy apps by using modern technologies while taking into considerations scalability, modularity, performance and flexibilityProfile (required).

Le Profil
Skills Required:
You have a successful experience in programming, interest in Machine Learning and have strong skills in the following subjects.
• Experience in Python or other high level language such as Go, Js … (Python will be mainly used).Desirable Skills:
• Knowledge in SQL
• Basic understanding of git and version control
• A like for automation. You can't bear having to do something manually
• Experience in bash scripting and Linux distributions (Ubuntu / Centos 7/ Amazon Linux)Years of experience:
• Good understanding of some advanced databases principle (partitions, indexes …)
• Knowledge in IaC (Infrastructure as Code) and tools like Terraform
• Use of any cloud provider (We are using AWS)
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Knowledge in API Design
Bac+2 and at least 2 years of experience or > Bac+5.

You will have the opportunity to learn and grow in a stimulating and constantly developing environment during these assignments to quickly gain responsibility: to lead a project from A to Z from architecture design to deployment; to communicate directly with our IT and Data Science teams who are at the forefront of their field, and to present your work to the whole team at the end of the internship.
We are a close-knit, friendly and multicultural team. We are looking for motivated people to join the adventure and participate in the development of QuantCube.
